The Oaxacan Connection A Mezcal & Gentian Odyssey

The “Oaxacan Connection” (seen here in vibrant gold) is for those seeking complexity and brightness. This cocktail takes the framework of a traditional White Negroni and introduces a dramatic plot twist: Mezcal. By splitting the base between Aria Dry Gin and Mezcal Unión, we merge classic botanicals with a gentle, sophisticated smoke. The mix is defined by the earthy, distinct bitterness of Suze (which provides that beautiful color) and balanced by the floral sweetness of Lillet Blanc. Garnished with a floating dehydrated citrus wheel, it is a smoky, sophisticated, and deeply aromatic experience.

The Crushed Cochineal A Balance of Bitter & Spice

For lovers of the classic, red-hued Negroni, the “Crushed Cochineal” is a masterclass in balance. We utilize a traditional three-ingredient structure but elevated with premium spirits. The standard gin and Campari base remains, providing that necessary, punchy bitterness. However, the true difference is the introduction of Amaro Meletti in place of the standard sweet vermouth. This choice adds an incredible new layer of saffron, anise, and subtle cocoa notes that round out the Campari’s bitterness and the gin’s botanicals perfectly. Expressed with fresh orange peel oils, this drink is rich, balanced, and timeless.
